These Payment Terms apply whenever you buy a service from Outsourcea: a listing or membership plan, a Featured placement, or the payment of platform fees. The version you accepted is recorded with every purchase.
What Outsourcea charges for
- Listing and membership plans. Subscriptions bought for a company. They give the benefits described on the pricing page, such as appearing in the company directory and search, service slots, and any platform fee rate the plan includes.
- Featured placement. A paid placement that shows your company in the Featured block of the company directory for a fixed number of days. It is always labelled as a paid placement.
- Platform fees. An optional percentage of project payments, explained below. When no platform fee is set, none is charged.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown on the pricing page and again on the checkout review page before you pay, in the currency stated there. The review page shows the amount charged today, any introductory price or promotion code applied, and for plans the renewal price and date.
How payment works
Payments are made on Stripe Checkout, a payment page hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, using a card or another payment method offered there. Your payment details go directly to Stripe. Outsourcea never sees or stores your full card number.
Introductory prices and promotion codes
An introductory price applies once per company per plan, to the first billing period of that company's first subscription to that plan. A promotion code applies to a single purchase, cannot be combined with an introductory price, has no cash value, and may have its own limits, which are shown when you apply it.
Taxes
Prices do not include taxes unless the checkout says so. Where tax applies to your purchase, it is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
Platform fees
When a platform fee is set, it is a percentage of each project payment that the provider confirms as received. The percentage is fixed when the contract starts and is shown on the contract and on the proposal form ("No platform fee" when it is zero). Fees are billed by Outsourcea to the provider, or to the provider's company, separately from the project payment. They are paid from the billing page by the due date shown on each fee. If fees stay unpaid well past their due date, sending new proposals may be paused until they are paid. Outsourcea Finance can waive or cancel a fee that was created by mistake.
Project payments
Clients pay providers directly, by bank transfer or through the provider's own payment link, using payment details that Outsourcea Finance has verified. Outsourcea records each payment request and confirmation and mediates if something goes wrong, but Outsourcea does not receive, hold, transfer or process project money, and cannot refund it. If a project payment goes wrong, raise an issue on the payment request and our team will help both sides.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we tell the company's admins and the payment is retried. The listing stays visible during a short grace period. If the payment is still outstanding when the grace period ends, the listing is paused until the payment succeeds.
Price changes
New prices apply to new purchases. If we change the price of a plan you already have, we tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your renewal, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
Refunds, disputes and chargebacks
Refunds follow our Refund Policy. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first: most problems are solved quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead, we may pause the paid features linked to that charge while the dispute is open.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version is numbered and dated, and the version in force when you pay applies to that purchase. We will tell company admins about significant changes before they apply to a renewal.
